Fatal Stabbing @ Cabrito & Steak Cook-Off | George West, Texas

In a tragic incident that shook the small community of George West, Texas, Michael Niembro fatally stabbed his brother, Wesley Davidson, at a Cabrito and Steak Cook-off held at the Live Oak County Fairgrounds. What was supposed to be a festive event celebrating local culture and cuisine turned into a scene of heartbreak.

The brothers had reportedly been involved in a heated incident during the cook-off. It is alleged that Michael Niembro was assaulting a women known to be his girlfriend. Wesley Davidson stepped in. Tempers flared, and the situation escalated to violence. Niembro, in a fit of rage, stabbing his half-brother, resulting in Wesley's untimely death. Witnesses at the scene were left stunned, as the incident unfolded in front of them.

Local authorities quickly responded, arresting Niembro later that same evening. The tragic loss of life has left the small town grappling with the emotional aftermath, while also serving as a reminder of the devastating consequences that unchecked anger can have, even among family.

Unfortunately, there was not a lot of information in the aftermath of this incident. I could not even find court proceedings beyond notifications that Niembro had been indicted. But, take a listen to the episode, and towards the end, we address this.
